This is an antique brass bucket, often identified as a fireplace fire pot, kettle, or pail from the 19th or early 20th century.
It is constructed from solid brass and typically features an iron bail handle.
Many examples from this era are attributed to manufacturers like the Ansonia Brass Company or based on H.W. Hayden's 1851 patent for spun brass kettles.
These versatile vessels were originally functional for carrying water or heating, but are now popular for use as planters, hearth decor, or sculptural pieces.
Includes a natural patina, dings, and oxidation consistent with age and use.
Measures about 13.5" diameter by 9" height.
